Available variables in FTP

This shows what variables you can use in FTP configuration and where exactly you can use them.

You have three path variables that are always available. You can use them in home (root) directory, in path permissions settings and make aliases for them.

Path Variable

Description

$$username$$

Username of currently logged user is stored here.

$$groupname$$

Name of the group to which currently logged user belongs.

$$homedir$$

Stores path to mailbox folder of currently logged user.

And the Icewarp server has the following two variables available, but only for users that are of type system, they are user accounts internal to your Icewarp Mail Server.

Path Variable

Description

$$email$$

The e-mail address of the user.

$$domain$$

The domain name of the currently logged user.
